Privacy Policy
Applies to the app Hapax. Last updated August 9, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Quietspire LLC ("Quietspire", "we", "us") handles information in connection with our vocabulary app Hapax (the "App").
The short version
Hapax collects no data. That is also the long version.
What we don't collect
The App has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking SDKs, and no servers of our own. It never asks for your name, email, location, or anything else, and it makes no network requests to us: there is nowhere to send data, because nothing is collected. The App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected" because that is literally true.
Data on your device
Your word history and difficulty setting are stored only on your device and never leave it. The optional tap-to-hear pronunciation uses your device's built-in speech engine, offline. Deleting the App deletes everything.
Children's privacy
Hapax is suitable for a general audience. Because the App collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA give you rights over personal data an app holds about you. Hapax holds none. There is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete: your data lives on your device, under your control, and removing the App removes it entirely.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes: for example, if a future feature required any form of data handling: the change will be described here before it takes effect, reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
